Fit Tips
For a person with narrow feet, please try a half-size smaller.

Original S.W.A.T.® Innersoles
Inner soles are multi-functional.

Extra cushion and or support
Most boot's innersoles can be taken out and replaced with an
after market innersole from any number of innersole companies.
After market innersoles have several different categories:
More or less arch support.
Styles are made specifically for the different activities wearers
may find themselves in.
After market innersoles have more bells and whistles than the
innersoles that are provided with a new pair of boots.
Altering size of a boot.
Adding an additional innersole will shrink the volume of a boot
and make it fit nearly a half size smaller or can be used to make
a regular width boot feel narrower
Keeping a boot fresh.
Most odors in footwear can be attributed to the innersole. A
person's foot perspires directly into the innersole. With daily use
and unchanged, boots/shoes will begin to smell. If a person
changes the innersoles in their boots/shoes on a daily or weekly
basis, most of the odor associated with any footwear will be
eliminated. Additionally, a refreshed innersole will help the boot
feel more comfortable.

Original S.W.A.T.® Zippers and Installation Straps
The idea of lacing a zipper into the tongue portion of a boot is
outdated. We recommend you use our Installation Straps to
install the Original S.W.A.T.® 8-Eyelet Zipper. The Installation
Straps, unlike using a bootlace, keeps the zipper more rigid and
secure. This allows the zipper to be more efficient when being
used because the "lace play" that is associated with a laced in
zipper is eliminated.

Our 8-Eyelet Zipper is used traditionally in an 8-Eyelet Boot.
However, it can be used with any of our 9-Eyelet Boots.

Original S.W.A.T.® Zipper Care
The zippers in our boots need to be operated with care to ensure
a trouble free life.

The zipper has a 103 lb. breaking strain which is achieved by
having a higher number of teeth per inch. This also provides the
necessary flexibility in a zip of this length.

However, care must be taken when operating the zippers to:

Not get the gusset caught in the zipper;
Should the gusset get caught, you must reverse the zipper
direction to release the gusset – under NO circumstances try to
force the zipper.

Forcing the zipper could result in breaking the zip-pull tab or the
zipper itself. This will not occur under normal operation and will
therefore be considered “abuse” and negate any guarantee.
